A Final Farewell to IKEA’s HASSLARP Kitchen: A Design That Stood Out

Sometimes a kitchen isn't just a kitchen. It is a statement. For me, Mauritz, the IKEA HASSLARP kitchen fronts were exactly that. Together with the SINARP doors, HASSLARP created a look that stood out in IKEA stores. The combination was warm, tactile and a bold take on modern design.

The HASSLARP fronts, with their rich brown tones and intricate herringbone pattern, added an artisanal touch that felt both timeless and contemporary. Each piece was unique, thanks to the layered veneer of different wood species. The SINARP doors, with their natural wood finish and clean lines, complemented HASSLARP perfectly, creating a kitchen that felt grounded, elegant and surprisingly luxurious for an IKEA design.

Light has played a crucial role in how this kitchen has been perceived. Depending on the time of day and the angle, the light dances across the textured fronts, creating a dynamic and almost sculptural effect. It is this special interaction between design and light that has made HASSLARP so captivating in photos and in real life.

As the "Last Chance to Buy" signs appear for HASSLARP, it is bittersweet to see this beautiful front leave the IKEA lineup. However, SINARP remains available, continuing to bring its natural beauty to many homes. For those lucky enough to own HASSLARP, it will remain a unique and cherished part of their kitchen – a true statement piece that is hard to forget.
Here's to HASSLARP – a design that, at least for me, will always hold a special place.
