IKEA has officially begun phasing out the beloved MALM series, replacing it with a new and safer alternative: STORKLINTA. But what exactly is different between these two lines of bedroom furniture? Here's everything you need to know if you're considering a switch or just curious about the change.
Apron Sinks: A Timeless Addition to Your Farmhouse Kitchen

Many people love the farmhouse style in their kitchens, an important detail is the kitchen bench and sink that must fit into the style. I have filmed many farmhouses in different countries and I see that white kitchen sinks are the most common, regardless of the color of the kitchen cabinets. Here we will look at unique pictures and videos of the farmhouse I have filmed, you will see the farmhouse kitchen sink and the apron sink.

What is the difference between the farmhouse sink and the apron sink?
A farmhouse sink, also known as an apron sink, is a type of sink that has a large basin and a front that extends out beyond the counter. A farmhouse sink is also known as an apron sink because the front of the sink is exposed and sits on top of the counter. They are often made of porcelain, fireclay, or stainless steel, and have a unique design that makes them a popular choice for many homeowners. The difference between a farmhouse sink and an apron sink is that the latter is a subtype of the former. Apron sinks are a part of the farmhouse sink family but with a slightly different design. They have a little more of a "lip" on the front, that is the apron, that hangs over the front of the cabinet.

Here we have another nice IKEA Bodbyn kitchen in a sparkling green color, does it get more farmhouse than this? This kitchen also has a Havsen sink but not an apron, here it is a more traditional sink with a countertop a few centimeters towards the edge.
The kitchen faucet used in both of these IKEA kitchens is Glittran, what you notice now when we go to other producers is that the style is the same, the Glittran kitchen faucet style fits the rustic kitchen style perfectly.

Here we have a German produced Nolte farmhouse, large kitchen island with a white sink from Franke. The kitchen faucet looks exactly like IKEA's Glittran.

This unique farmhouse with its blue kitchen cabinets has a white kitchen sink and kitchen faucet from the producer Franke. Here they have used a slightly "more modern" looking kitchen faucet and it works too.

This unique farmhouse with white goods from Gorenje has a very soft green color on its kitchen cabinets. Blanco kitchen sink in white is used with a granite worktop and old-fashioned style on the kitchen faucet that we have seen a lot of in other kitchens. Very beautiful kitchen for those who want quality and the rustic style.

This magnificent country-style kitchen with granite worktops has a white sink and kitchen faucet from the producer Guglielmi.
