The LERHYTTAN kitchen in blue is one of IKEA's most character-rich kitchen fronts, blending classic craftsmanship with a slightly rustic, Scandinavian feel. During my visit to IKEA Stuttgart, I filmed two different LERHYTTAN blue kitchen setups, each showing a distinct interpretation of the same front.
Industrial-Style IKEA Living Room – FJÄLLBO and STOCKHOLM Design Ideas

This cozy yet modern IKEA showroom combines natural textures, industrial-style FJÄLLBO storage, and elegant STOCKHOLM tables. Captured by Mauritz during a real IKEA visit, the space blends rustic charm with contemporary smartness – a perfect source of inspiration for compact apartments or stylish open-plan living.
GRIMHULT 3-Seater Sleeper Sofa in Beige
At the heart of this setup is the GRIMHULT 3-seater sleeper sofa. Though no longer available for purchase, this discontinued model still deserves recognition for its clean Scandinavian design, smart hidden bed functionality and versatile neutral tone. The beige upholstery pairs beautifully with both warm wood tones and darker accents in the room. It's a perfect sofa for lounging during the day and transforming into a bed at night – a true IKEA classic.

FJÄLLBO: Industrial Storage with a Warm Touch
Several items from the FJÄLLBO series structure the room. Along one wall, the FJÄLLBO TV unit is flanked by two tall FJÄLLBO shelf units. Their black steel frames and wooden shelves hold everything from candles and storage boxes to glassware and plants, styled with a modern yet rustic sensibility.
Mounted above this section are two FJÄLLBO wall shelves, continuing the series' industrial look with open wood planks and black metal brackets. Together, the shelves and floor units create a full-height storage wall that feels airy yet structured.
On the opposite side of the room, next to the sofa, a compact FJÄLLBO sideboard with mesh doors provides closed storage and additional surface space for styling. There is also a FJÄLLBO laptop table near the window, creating a compact yet functional workstation.
All these pieces – TV unit, shelf units, wall shelves, sideboard and laptop table – carry the signature FJÄLLBO combination of black metal and lightly stained wood, giving them a timeless, slightly industrial vibe.

STOCKHOLM Coffee Tables with Organic Shapes
In front of the sofa sits a cluster of STOCKHOLM coffee tables. These walnut veneer tables feature smooth organic curves and a rich warm tone that adds elegance and movement to the space. One larger oblong table is layered with two leaf-shaped side tables, creating a dynamic arrangement that's both functional and sculptural.

MISTERHULT Pendant Lamps for a Natural Glow
Above the seating area, two MISTERHULT pendant lamps cast a warm and calming light. Made from hand-woven bamboo, these lamps are an IKEA favorite for good reason. They offer a soft, diffused glow that complements natural and earthy interiors perfectly. Their large dome shape draws the eye upward, giving balance to the room.
EKET Wall Storage: Open and Customizable
Mounted on the wall above the sofa is a cluster of EKET cabinets in a warm wood finish. These cube-shaped units are both decorative and functional. Used here as open shelving, they hold framed artwork, small plants and objects, helping personalize the space without cluttering it.
The mix of wall-mounted storage and framed prints creates a gallery wall look while keeping floor space free – ideal for smaller living rooms or multifunctional areas.
Cozy Workstation by the Window
At the far end of the room, next to the curtains, a compact FJÄLLBO laptop table creates a practical home office nook. Paired with a swivel chair, it offers just enough space to work from home without needing a dedicated office. Layered curtains in muted earthy tones frame a window mural, enhancing the illusion of natural light and adding softness to the setup.

Rich in Texture and Life
Throughout the room, you'll notice a careful layering of materials. Rattan, metal, wool, wood and soft fabrics work together to create a lived-in feeling. Indoor plants and greenery add vibrancy, while woven baskets and trays bring an earthy, bohemian edge.
This showroom is a great example of how IKEA furniture can be styled to feel warm and curated, not generic. It balances structure and softness, light and dark, open storage and concealed functionality.
